Dave Fleschner performs routinely around the world. He’s worked with countless Grammy Winning artists, jazz masters, rock stars, blues icons, soul legends, as well as the Portland Symphony Orchestra and the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus.

Notably, he has worked with Grammy Winning artists: B.B. KingThe Pointer Sisters, Steve Miller, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Bobby Rush, Chubby Carrier  and The Portland Symphony Orchestra.

He has toured internationally with Curtis Salgado, John Nemeth, Kara Granger, Karen LovelyEarl Thomas and United by Music North America. Fleschner’s song “I Want to love you” was in contention for Grammy Nomination by two different artists in the same year.  He has released several albums as a band leader – and countless albums as a producer, sideman and band member.  In demand as a producer, composer, songwriter, orchestrater, arranger, music director, side man and educator, Fleschner’s music displays a deep understanding of American roots music.

Dave is known as both a pianist and as a Hammond B-3 organ player and has extensive performance credits: Taj Mahal, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Charlie Musselwhite, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Chubby Carrier, Curtis Salgado, Kim Wilson, Johnny Rawls, Bobby Rush, Jeff Tyzik, Charles Floyd, Mel Brown, Bobby Torres, Rob Scheps, Willie “Big-Eyes” Smith, Jason Ricci, Kenny Neal, Shamekia Copeland, Sugar Ray Rayford, John Gross, Warren Rand, Ural Thomas, Eden Brent, Lloyd Jones, Alan Hager, JJ Thames, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, Annika Chambers, Dan Navarro, Karen Lovely, John Bunzow, Dan Balmer, Alan Jones, Paul Delay, Valerie Day, Tommy Castro, Chris Mayther, Sherman Robertson, Phillip Walker, Andrew “Jr. Boy” Jones, Ben Rice, Craig Marquardo and Idle Poets, Kathy Walker, Shelly Rudolph, Gary Burford, Duffy Bishop, Monti Amundson, Rubberneck (Sabroso) and many others. Dave’s theatre and film credentials are also wide ranging. His partnership with playwright, Wayne Harrell, has resulted in three different musicals: “Buried Fire,” “Just This One,” and “Gospel Blues.” He has composed music for Documentaries and short films, Notably by renowned Canadian filmmaker Boris Ivanov.  He arranged and led the band through 1940′s wartime era “1945, A Christmas from Home” . He has been in the pit orchestra for Jesus Christ Superstar, Always Patsy Cline, and for many of the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus shows. He has also written multiple orchestrations and arrangements for the PGMC, many of which were featured in a concert devoted to his compositions.

He is the music director for the award winning 501c3 non-profit – United by Music America – a performance organization serving the Neoro-diverse  musician community. They recently released an E.P featuring Kingfish “Christone” Ingram, John Boutté, T.K. Jackson, Tommy Castro and Curly Taylor entitled “We’ve Got The Music.”

Dave also owns and operates a project studio out of his home, where he acts as both producer and engineer for his own projects and numerous others. He teaches lessons and classes through Clackamas Community College and Backbeat Music Academy, and has been a clinician at College and High School levels.

Dave has been profiled in JazzScene, The Statesman Journal, The Oregonian, Willamette Week, The Cascade Blues Association’s “Bluesnotes.”  Postitively Entertainment & Dining, The Portland Tribune, Mighty Mouth Blues, The Times StandardAll About Jazz and is a frequent guest performer on Homegrown Jazz with Mary Burlingame, a live broadcast from KMHD, the Portland area jazz radio station. Performing with Blues/Soul Legend Curtis Salgado – he helped establish the Nord Stage as one of the leading keyboards on blues stages and festivals internationally.
