The Blues Cabaret” combines the grittiest elements of the blues with the nuance of jazz. A fourteen track album of original compositions by Dave Fleschner performed by some of the best musicians in the blues and jazz world, this is a masterful production featuring the song “I Want to Love You,” which was in contention for a grammy nomination by two different artists in the same year.
In addition to performances around the world featuring a variety of different band members and singers – The music of The Blues Cabaret is featured in a musical written by Fleschner and Wayne Harrell called “Buried Fire.” This music was also featured in a choral production by the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus under the artistic direction of Bob Mensel.
The Burlesque dancers add a unique entertainment spin on this mostly original music show. Be prepared for an entertainment roller coaster!
